Lets-Talk2day CIC at the Sefton Park Palm House Community Garden Show 🌿
We are incredibly proud to be part of the first-ever Garden Show at Sefton Park Palm House, celebrating 25 years of this iconic Liverpool landmark.
Our garden, "A Garden for Wellbeing, Connection & Belonging," tells the story of the communities we support every day. It represents the journey from isolation, uncertainty, and poor mental wellbeing towards hope, confidence, connection, and belonging.
Created with the support of our volunteers, service users, community champions, and local partners, the garden celebrates:
💜 Mental health and wellbeing
🌍 Diversity and inclusion
🗣️ The power of language and communication
🤝 Community connection and support
🌱 Growth, resilience, and recovery
Every feature within the garden has meaning—from sensory planting and multilingual messages to spaces that encourage reflection, conversation, and community. It reflects our belief that everyone deserves a safe space where they feel heard, valued, and supported.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated materials, volunteered their time, shared ideas, and helped bring our vision to life.
📅 Open to visitors: 10th – 21st June
📍 Sefton Park Palm House, Liverpool
If you're visiting the show, we'd love you to stop by, explore the garden, and learn more about how Lets-Talk2day CIC is supporting mental health and wellbeing through the power of language.

We are incredibly excited to be developing our Community Health Navigation Champions programme as part of Volunteering for Health Liverpool.
helping to remove barriers to health, wellbeing and essential services has always been at the heart of what we do. We see every day how language barriers, cultural differences, digital exclusion, social isolation and a lack of understanding of health systems can prevent people from accessing the support they need. This project will help us build on our passion and commitment to creating more inclusive and accessible pathways into health and care services.
The programme will recruit and train volunteers from the communities we serve to provide culturally responsive support, helping people navigate health services, understand health information and access the support they need. Through language provision, community trust and lived experience, our champions will help reduce barriers that often prevent people from engaging with healthcare and wellbeing services.
We will prioritise support for:
🔹 Arabic-speaking communities
🔹 Pakistani communities
🔹 Ukrainian and Eastern European residents
🔹 Women experiencing isolation
🔹 People with mental health needs
🔹 Residents living in areas of deprivation across North and South Liverpool
Building on our existing partnerships with Brownlow Health, Citizens Advice and local health services, the programme will strengthen community volunteering, improve health literacy, reduce isolation and support people to access services earlier.
One of our key ambitions is to increase our language provision from 16 community languages to 20+ languages, ensuring even more people can access support in a way that is culturally appropriate and easy to understand.

♻️ Exciting News for Lets-Talk2day ♻️
We are delighted to be developing Repair, Reuse & Restore in partnership with the Zero Waste Community Fund, helping to reduce waste, build practical skills and support people living in some of Liverpool’s most disadvantaged communities.
Building on our existing work using surplus food from Neighbourly and Too Good To Go, creative reuse activities and community wellbeing programmes, we aim to expand opportunities for local people to learn how to:
🍎 Reduce food waste through better planning, storage and cooking skills
👕 Repair and reuse clothing through sewing and mending workshops
🪑 Restore and repurpose furniture rather than sending it to landfill
🔌 Repair or recycle small electrical items responsibly
🫙 Reuse glass jars, paper, cardboard and packaging materials in creative projects
The project will bring together residents, volunteers and community partners to create positive environmental change while reducing household costs, improving wellbeing and building stronger, more resilient communities.
Through practical workshops, community lunches, clothes swap events and volunteer-led activities, we will help people see waste as a resource, not rubbish, while creating lasting behaviour change and environmental awareness.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports our work and helps us make sustainability accessible, inclusive and community-led.
💛 Together we can make a difference — one repair, one meal and one conversation at a time. 💛

🌿 Lets-Talk2day and LivLife Liverpool Working Together to Improve Community Health & Wellbeing 🌿
We are excited to be developing Healthy Horizons, a culturally responsive weight management and wellbeing programme in partnership with LivLife Liverpool.
This 12-week programme has been designed specifically to support people from multicultural and language-diverse communities who may face barriers accessing mainstream health and wellbeing services.
Through separate men's and women's groups, participants will receive support with:
✅ Healthy weight management
✅ Pre-diabetes prevention
✅ Healthy eating and nutrition
✅ Understanding cultural diets and traditional foods
✅ Healthier adaptations of cultural recipes
✅ Physical activity and healthy lifestyles
✅ Mental health and wellbeing
✅ Confidence building and peer support
✅ Access to local health services
At Lets-Talk2day, we understand that food is closely connected to culture, family, identity and community. Healthy Horizons will not ask people to give up the foods they love. Instead, we will work together to explore healthier choices, cooking methods and portion sizes that respect different cultural traditions while supporting better health outcomes.
By combining our expertise in language support, community engagement and mental wellbeing with the healthy lifestyle expertise of LivLife Liverpool, we aim to create a programme that is inclusive, accessible and meaningful for the communities we serve.
Together, we are committed to reducing health inequalities, preventing long-term health conditions, improving mental wellbeing and helping people make positive, sustainable lifestyle changes.

We are excited to be developing our partnership with Brownlow Health to deliver a community-led wellbeing project that supports people facing some of the greatest barriers to health and wellbeing across Liverpool.
At Lets-Talk2day , we believe that good mental health starts with feeling connected, understood, and supported. Through culturally responsive, language-inclusive group sessions, we will provide safe spaces where people can improve their mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, build confidence, and develop meaningful community connections.
Alongside wellbeing activities, participants will have access to gentle health promotion and community health checks, including blood pressure, weight and wellbeing conversations supported by our volunteer doctors, nurses, and trained Community Champions. This helps people feel more confident managing their health and accessing appropriate support at an earlier stage.
We are passionate about partnership working because it provides more holistic support, reduces duplication, and creates stronger pathways between community services and healthcare.
Together with Brownlow Health, we aim to improve mental wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, strengthen community connections, and ensure that everyone—regardless of language, culture, or background—can access support and thrive.
