Community-based advocacy means helping people understand their rights, find the right support, and speak up for themselves in their local community.

Support available in over 20 languages, helping to remove language barriers and improve access to services

Our Community Advocacy service helps people overcome language, cultural, and practical barriers that can make it difficult to access the support they need. We provide clear information, explain how services work, help people understand their rights and options, assist with completing forms, support people to attend appointments where appropriate, and signpost or refer people to specialist services and trusted partners, including Citizens Advice Liverpool, health services, housing providers, employment support, education providers, and other local community organisations.
Our aim is to empower people to build confidence, make informed decisions, and access services independently wherever possible. We recognise that language should never be a barrier to getting help, which is why interpreters and language support are available in over 20 languages, helping to remove barriers and ensure everyone can access the support they need.
We deliver our services in trusted community venues across both North and South Liverpool, making them accessible, welcoming, and easy to reach. By providing support within local communities, we reduce barriers to accessing services, create safe and familiar spaces where people feel comfortable seeking help, and connect individuals with the right support at the right time. Through strong partnerships with organisations including Citizens Advice Liverpool and other specialist services, we provide holistic, person-centred support that improves wellbeing, increases confidence, and helps people become active, connected members of their community.
